If you haven’t held a Macmillan Coffee Morning yet, it could be an ideal opportunity to do so over Easter. While the kids are out hunting Cadbury’s Easter Eggs, Mums or Dads can enjoy a great coffee morning in peace. Inviting all the other holidaymakers to your caravan or organising it in the clubhouse will raise money for a more than worthy cause. And you’ll get to catch up with old friends and meet new ones. Some Caravan Parks in North Wales have already arranged events and others are in progress.
These cancer fundraising coffee mornings have been held for 25 years now and made a significant contribution to ensuring that anyone with cancer doesn’t have to suffer alone. MacMillan nurses and services provide essential care and assistance not only to patients but to their families and friends too.
The Macmillan Charity is renowned for the assistance it provides to people suffering from cancer and to their friends and families. Macmillan nurses make sure that patients have the necessary medical care and the charity ensures that everyone has support emotionally, practically and financially if needed.

Since these MacMillan coffee morning fundraising events began in 1991 people have achieved £1.38 million for Macmillan and the campaign is one of the most popular. Most coffee morning hosts serve home-made cakes and snacks with the coffee with some guests bringing cakes to it.
The events are going on all over the UK so if you don’t feel like hosting your own, you can attend one at other venues or Caravan Parks in North Wales. Check to see if there are events already organised at Whitehouse Leisure Park when you arrive.
The great thing about this campaign is that you can participate in it any time of the year. If you are going to organise a Macmillan coffee morning, do let us know and we will make sure people know about it on social media. We would also love to hear how it went.
